Reiki is an energy healing technique focusing on the attunement of mind, body, and spirit. When we are experiencing emotional pain, we experience disconnection from our whole selves. Reiki helps you reconnect and tune in with your wholeness---allowing you to have clarity of mind, centeredness and groundedness of the body, and openness to accept true healing and happiness of the spirit.
Here in Strengths Awareness, the focus is on helping one create awareness of the parts of their body, mind, and spirit that are causing them emotional pain. Hands-off reiki techniques using universal energy, unblocking chakras, and cognitive-behavioral therapy-based visualization and guided imagery are used to help one become free from stress and suffering.
Reiki has been used as an alternative therapy since the 1920s. It has been known to help clients decrease anxiety, and stress, and heal emotional pain through attunement. Here in Strengths Awareness, the focus is emotional healing.

I have worked with individuals in a variety of settings since 2014. I have served individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds such as military families, minority groups, immigrants, and refugees. Most of my work focuses on helping clients find their strengths and use them to manage life stressors, anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, trauma, and acculturation.
I use strengths-based, mindfulness-based, psychoeducation, CBT, gestalt, client-centered, IFS, and hypnotherapy in my practice. This combination of approaches allows me to help clients develop healthy coping skills, self-discovery, awakening, and use the gift of the present moment to heal. If the client permits, I incorporate reiki as well.
I value meeting my clients where they are with their challenges. I believe that every person has innate strengths. These strengths are their tools to get through life's struggles. My work is to help my clients create awareness of these strengths and guide them in using these as tools to improve their quality of life.

It is still widely practiced all over the world up to date. I believe that science and universal/energy healing work harmoniously to help heal and maintain balance in every being in this universe. One person has one mind, one body, and one spirit--all connected, and therefore should be treated and heal as one.

After a session, some people may feel instant relief, relaxation, and sleepiness. Some people may experience fatigue, hunger, thirst, or headaches as well. This is because our mind, body, and spirit worked so hard to heal. It is natural for our bodies to feel the need to recharge after a hard day's worth of work healing.
It varies. Some people may only need a single session and some may need several sessions. Just like physical wounds, the healing of emotional wounds depend on how deep the wound is, how much layers of emotional pain there is, and how much the client is willing to engage and work hard to heal in each session.
It varies with each person. One's healing is very unique to them. Everyone has their own journey but the good is, one exactly knows how that looks like. Just like the body knows exactly how to heal physical wounds.
Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is an evidence-based therapeutic approach that has proven to treat trauma, anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges. With Strengths Awareness, visualization and guided imagery (CBT techniques) are used to help confront and heal painful experiences that causes the person mental health struggles.
